The Venue
We are thrilled to have our ceremony and reception hosted by The Edison & Ford Winter Estates.
The venue is an active museum and will be admitting guests for their holiday light display in the evening during our reception. The ceremony will take place at the Edison Pergola before museum opens to guests for the evening and reception will be held in a private riverfront pavilion on the grounds at sunset.
Self parking will be available in the visitor lot on the southeast side of McGregor Blvd., a short walk from the estates. The venue is entirely outdoors, and though mid December in south Florida is typically dry and mild, guests should consider the weather when dressing.
The Itinerary
3:30pm — Guests may begin their arrival at the ceremony location.
4:00pm — The wedding ceremony will commence.
4:30 – 5:30pm — A cocktail hour will be hosted for our honored guests. The wedding party will have their photos taken.
5:30 – 10:00pm — Our reception will begin with hors d’oeuvres, followed by dinner and the traditional reception activities.
The Minutiae
The Theme is Old Florida Simple Elegance. Dress for guests is semi-formal. The colors we will be using are medium grey and burnt orange.
For our guests that are traveling from out of town we can recommend The Luminary Hotel, The Banyan Hotel, and for the Old Florida experience, The Hibiscus House bed and breakfast (book early).
Registry
The Couple are not registered for gifts, but will gratefully accept any that are offered, and welcome contributions to their honeymoon fund.
